Director of Environment and Sustainable Development (2008 – 2020)

• Participated in the negotiations between the Peruvian state and four native indigenous associations in regards regarding Oil Lot #192, which produces approximately 20% of Peru’s national oil.
• Advisory on the procedure for authorizations, licenses, and permits related to environmental matters with various state entities.
• Advise on administrative sanctioning procedures regarding various environmental control entities, such as: OEFA, SERFOR, ANA, among others.
• Provide legal advisory services as lead counsel including environmental due diligence reports, counselling on environmental impact assessments, the elaboration of environmental legal frameworks, among others.
• Developed environmental standards documents and processes for private companies.

Ministry of Health

Director General on Environmental Health (2007-2008)

• Leading the environmental health aspects in the response to the emergency generated by the earthquake that occurred in Pisco, Ica, Chincha in August 2007, which caused timely attention to the victims and preventing the generation of health problems in the affected population.
• Coordinate the implementation and operation of the Regulations of Law No. 28376, a law that prohibits and sanctions the manufacture, import, distribution and commercialization of toxic or dangerous toys and stationery, which led to the withdrawal of toxic toys or stationery from the market and the entry of only those that did not affect the health of the population.
• Granting dumping authorizations.
• Regulate the management of solid waste.

National Environmental Council of Peru (CONAM)

Head of Territorial Management (2006)

• Strengthening CONAM’s presence in regions through the creation and implementation of 03 regional offices.
• Empowerment of the country’s regional and local environmental management by accompanying the creation of Regional Environmental Commissions in various regions of the country, a platform for communication for the Public Sector, companies, NGOs and universities.
• Identifying the environmental problems of various regions of the country by accompanying the elaboration of the environmental diagnosis in each region of the country and their attention through the elaboration of their respective Environmental Action Plans.

Ministry of Energy & Mines (2004)

• Diputy Director of General Directorate of Environmental of Mining Environmental Affairs
• Participate in the management of socio-environmental conflicts due to mining activities and in the evaluation of mining environmental studies.
• Manage the General Direction by implementing internal processes that allow to speed up the evaluation of environmental studies and participate in the division of the general direction in : one, specialized in mining affairs ; and another, in energy affairs.
